Mom And Son Found Dead In Halewood

A man and woman discovered with knife wounds at a house in Merseyside were a mother and her son, police said.

The bodies of Annie Coffey, who was in her 50s and her son Christopher Coffey, who was in his 20s, were found by police at their home in Halewood.

Officers were called to the house on Banbury Avenue on Monday at 1140 GMT.

Merseyside Police said they were not looking for anyone in connection with the deaths, but were waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination.

Forensic examinations of the scene have taken place and officers have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries.
